Join us this Friday, November 8th for the Opening Night presentation of the 40th Northwest Filmmakers’ Festival at our Whitsell Auditorium, located in the Portland Art Museum (1219 SW Park Avenue). As in past years, we’re kicking things off with an explosive collection of short films by makers from all around the Northwest region.

Following the shorts program, the celebration moves on over to the (former) Broadway Multiplex at 1000 SW Broadway. Once there, belly up to the concession stand for delicious Sierra Nevada beer, Honest Tea, and food, and don’t miss the opportunity to introduce yourself to the dazzling array of talented Northwest filmmakers who will be on hand. Our Opening Night party will feature live music from Boise, Idaho’s The Dirty Moogs.

SHORTS I screens Friday, November 8 at 7pm in our Whitsell Auditorium (located in the Portland Art Museum) as the Opening Night selection of the 40th Northwest Filmmakers’ Festival. It also screens on Sunday, November 10 at 8:45pm and Thursday, November 14 at 7pm at McMenamins’ Mission Theater (1624 NW Glisan).
Admission to the Opening Night party at the Broadway Multiples is $5; free for Opening Night Shorts I ticket holders and festival pass holders. Ages 21+. Tickets are available here or at the door.
